Mrs. Mims' house was the home of one of Fort Davis' most loved teachers. Margaret Mims taught generations of Fort Davis Children to read and write. Everyone who knew her remembers her fondly.

Mrs. Mims' house was fully restored during the spring of 2003. The home now has central heat and air, hand painted floors, fresh paint inside and out, and an updated bath. The kitchen was also updated.

The porch off the bedroom faces east for those who want to enjoy relaxing on twig furniture in the cool mountain air. The front entrance welcomes guests with a flagstone walkway that winds past beds of roses, Russian sage, Curley willow , and Mexican sage.

The master bedroom has a queen bed and a reading nook with a large chair and ottoman for reading.

The living room has two comfortable twin beds.
